BIO

FENIX

DJ Fountain aka Fenix is a 22 year old rising artist from Howell, NJ. He started writing music at age 12 on different rap forums such as HollaFront, Rap battles, and Rap-Royalty. Starting off, Fenix only made music for fun with a group of friends. Being so young, he was often criticized. This only made him more ambitious to be successful in the underground music industry. Still, playing the odds, he focused on school and sports so he could have an established career eventually even if it was not in the music industry.

Still unaware of his talent and music ability, he recorded songs as more of a hobby. “I’m a strong believer in fate. I thought if it was meant to be then it would happen” he says. After high school, he attended Monmouth University where he got his degree in Business Accounting and graduated with honors.

Following the tragic death of his 7 year old sister, he began using music as a way to vent how he was feeling and started making songs that not only he could relate to, but fans as well. When counselors and other supporters could not help him get through the heartache, he used music as an escape route.

This is when music became a priority rather than a hobby. “It’s a part of my life now” he says, “I know many other people that go through similar circumstances with no way out. I want to help”. Realizing that the opportunities are endless when the music has true meaning, he began working on songs that relate to the loss of friends and family members, relationship issues, and real life problems. “I want people to press play on one of my songs and never look back”, he says, “Nothing inspires me more than someone reaching out to me saying that I’ve made a difference for them”.

His biggest inspiration are his fans, family, and friends. His fans are what keep him focused on the next song and his friends and family give him the experiences he needs to continue to make music. Fenix is anxious for the world to hear his story.
